Well, thanks to a dozen changes in our life as of March 1st I will officially be a stay at home mom!
The first change is we found THE house. It's not a fabulous, blow your mind house but it will be ours. It's much closer than the other house, that turned out not to be the house. It's also not as well appointed but has its own unique charicteristics. It has a sun room complete with fire place!!! It has a HUGE living room. It has a "mud room". It has a garage! We've NEVER had a garage before! The bedrooms are hardwood on the floor-not condusive to a nursery, but we will solve that problem with a lovely area rug. There are some cosmetic issues that will be dealt with once we move in that aren't terribly problematic just preferential. So, on February 25th we move.
The second change is that Rocky's Godfather is in Texas this weekend. This was both unexpected and unannounced...and could mean that they, his god parents, could be moving back "home" Sigh. This makes me sad. Not only because they would be leaving, but because they are the only people other than my mother that I trust Rocky with unconditionally. Of course this also made the decision of giving my notice rather than trying to fenagle 3 days of employment out of my current part time status an impossibility.
I'm nervous about this prospect, but Barney assures me that it will be alright. Of course I have to trust him as he handles our finances and has them running like a well oiled machine. Of course I know that with my abscense of a pay check will come other changes--no cable for example, or no driving to meet a friend for lunch on a whim of course...but it will be so worth it to be able to be the first person Rocky sees in the morning and the last person Rocky sees before going to sleep at night but I will also be the prevelent person during the day who makes sure all of his other needs are met and while nervous...I can't wait!

Excited for you! There's nothing better than spending our time with those we love and doing things we want to do.
That is awesome! If we are ever blessed with a little one I hope we can make enough changes that I can be a stay at home mom!
