Well Baby...That's a COOL Mei Tai!

Knowing we wouldn't have a sitter this morning I scheduled Rocky's 4 month well baby visit with the pediatrician.

Our usual nurse was busy taking phone calls so she didn't weight Rocky as she normally does, so I quickly took the obligatory picture on the scale.

Rocky weights 14 pounds 7 ounces, is a whopping 25 1/2 inches long, and has a 16 3/4 inch head circumfrence. He is 7 ounces shy of doubling his birth weight which means he is growing appropriately. Doctor wants him to start on baby food between now and our next visit. He is both neurologically ready and is eating far more fluid oz. than your average 4 month old would be satiated with. So, tonight we will start him with the peas that I made him not long ago and have stored in the freezer since.

After that we drove to the conservatory

and met with Wilma-who hasn't seen Rocky since he was just a few weeks old.
In her bag she had two of the most beautiful gifts for Rocky. First, a brand new pink socky monkey--pink for Valentines Day she says! Second, a HAND MADE beautiful Mei Tai carrier! Wilma is the most talented seamstress, and while I thought she outdid her self altering my sisters brides maids dress when she found herself pregnant I say that was childs play compared to Rocky's carrier! Seriously it is beautiful! She picked out a lovely light green blanket material to line it with, and a canvas with dots and BABY on the outside, and a green canvas for the ties. Rocky wasn't too sure about it at first, but soon snuggled in and quickly fell asleep.
Just look at how comfy cozy this little boy is!

I can't wait to show it to Barney! My hope is that since it's not girly and that since it can be worn on the back that he may be interested in wearing Rocky too!

Thank you SO MUCH WILMA! I am so blessed to have a friend like you!

Rocky is getting cuter by the day. I love the first picture. Did I miss the pink sock monkey?
